Teresa qualified as a Solicitor in 1993 and has specialised in Family Law ever since. In that time she has encounterd clients from all walks of life with various family issues to resolve. Teresa predominantly deals with financial settlements, following divorce and financial issues between cohabiting couples.

Some of the cases she has dealt with have involved property abroad, small family businesses, bankruptcy and pensions. More recently, she has represented a husband who was a Director and Shareholder of a successful company ensuring that his business interests were not touched. She has also had to deal with a case involving a claim on a husband's substantial pension fund from his wife. In some cases she has had to deal with reluctant husbands who have failed to disclose assets involving some detailed investigations into their finances to show their true wealth.

Teresa also has a vast experience in dealing with children issues, involving protracted contact arrangements, serious allegations of absue and attempts to remove children from the Country. In a recent case Teresa successfully represented a father seeking residence of his 9 year old daughter and a father wishing to prevent his child being taken to live abroad permenantly by the mother.

Although not part of her work now, Teresa has, in the past, dealt with child care cases giving her a wealth of experience dealing with Social Services and Cafcass.

Teresa has been a member of the SRA Family Law Panel since 1999. She is also a member of Resolution, the Association of Family Lawyers and has been an Accredited Specialist since 2002, her specialism being in private children cases and financial settlements in divorce. Teresa also trained as a Collaborative Family Lawyer in 2007, offering her clients an alternative way of resolving their matrimonial disputes. In 2010 Teresa was appointed as a Deputy District Judge and sits in the South Eastern Circuit.

Teresa is an active committee member of the Resolution Group in Essex.
